Developing Recount Text Material using Canva assisted Project Based Learning in Teaching Writing Skill to 8th Grade Students of Junior High School
The development of teaching materials is very important to facilitate the teaching and learning process.This research aims at developing recount text material using canva assisted project based learning inteaching writing skill to 8th grade students of junior high school. In this study, the researcher use Borg and Gall development design stage method. The subject of this research were students of class VIII SMP in Cimahi. Research instruments in the form of interview, validation sheet, questionnaire and observation.The researcher aims at four objectives. First, the process of developing recount text material using canva assisted project based learning. Second, the feasibility of learning recount text material using canva assisted project based learning. Third, students response to the recount text material using canva assisted project based learning. Fourth, the obstacle the researcher has in developing recount text material using canva assisted project based learning. The result of this research were; first, the ten stages of process this product developing used Borg and Gall are suitable to use because the stages are more detailed; Although the main product revision stage was not conducted due to no revision needed. Second, the result of the feasibility of this product showed that the teaching material product made is valid and can be continued without revision. Third, the result of the students questionnaire response showed a positive response to the developed teaching material product. And last, the obstacle the researcher had in developing recount text material using canva assisted project based learning was access with canva premium, and stable internet. This product is recommended for English teachers to provide an innovative learning material for their students.
