The Use of Game (Circle) in Teaching Vocabulary to Elementary School Studentsâ€
English is very important language because it is used in almost area of life, such as government, bussines, entertainment, college and others. Teaching vocabulary to elementary school students was not an easy job. It needed a lot creativity. By providing game as a media in teaching vocabulary to elementary students. The objectives of the study was to find out whether there is any significant difference between the group that used of Circle Game and the group which does not use it in teaching vocabulary. The writer used quantitative method, namely quasi experimental, there were 20 students’ in the Experimental group class IV A andrn20 students’ in the control group class IV B. The result of this research is data shows that the mean experimental group is higher than of control group 17.00 >rn10.50. Standard deviation of experimental group is higher than control group 6.366 > 3.940, based on test of normality the data not normally because the data < 0.00. It concluded that using Mann Whitney U Test and the data is significant value because to show > 0.01. Teaching English vocabulary using Circle Game is effective in improving the students’ mastery in English vocabulary.
