The aims of this research are to find out the implementation of teaching readingrnrecount text using snowball throwing, to describe the students’ responses inrnteaching reading recount text using snowball throwing, and to find the students’rndifficulties in teaching reading recount text using snowball throwing. The researchrnis a qualitative research. The data of this research are taken from observation,rnquestionnaire, and test. The data are analyzed by using descriptive technique. Thernresult of this research showed that the snowball throwing technique was assumedrncould help the students in their learning since almost all of the students showed theirrninterest to involve in reading class activity and they performed better work. Fromrnthe data of questionnaire it was found that the students’ response of snowballrnthrowing were good in reading recount text. In addition it was found that thernstudents have difficulties in learning. The difficulties are limited vocabulary,rnpronunciation, grammar, and difficulties in answering some questions. Finally, thernsnowball throwing could be recommended as one alternative language learning thatrncould be used by English teacher especially in reading class.rnKeywords: Teaching Reading Recount Text Using Snowball Throwing
