This study aims to find the kinds of degree words modifying adjective and torndescribe its syntactic structure found in the novel The Last Letter. The data sourcernis taken from The Last Letter novel by Boygene Borice published in 2019. Thernresearch uses a descriptive analysis qualitative research. The data are presented byrnusing the description of degree words refering to the supported theory and usingrntree diagram in explanation the syntactic structure. The result of the researchrnshows that The Last Letter novel consists of 20 degree words as modifiers ofrnadjective. From three types, there are only two types that found in The Last Letterrnnovel, there are 2 degree words of comparative and 18 degree words ofrnintensification.
