This study is entitled "Interpersonal Communication of Parents and Children in Providing Understanding of Sex Education in RW 08 Sukapura Sub-District, Kejaksan District, Cirebon City".This research is motivated by the current rampant cases of sexual harassment, this makes parents need to be more alert and establish communication with their children. The purpose of this study is to find out how interpersonal communication between parents and children in providing an understanding of sex education so that children get real information about sex education. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method, using the theory of Joseph A. Devito's communication effectiveness.Informant selection technique with acra snowball sampling. The object of research by researchers is parents who have school-age children, 6-14 years. The results of his research are parents do not really understand what sex education is, but unconsciously they have provided sex education for their children. Communication that has been established with their children has also been achieved well, which is successful in establishing open and trustful communication. But there is something that is an obstacle for parents to provide sex education to their children, namely in the use of appropriate language for their children.
