This research aims discusses the language style used by the main character in the10 Thigs I Hate about You movie. The purpose of this research is to find and describe the kinds of language style and to review the function of the language style used by the first character in the film 10 Thigs I Hate about You. The subject of this research is the 10 Thigs I Hate about You movie. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods. The data is taken from the words and utterances of the main characters in the film 10 Thigs I Hate about You. The main theory used to analyze the data is Martin Joos 'theory which is cited from Achmad and Alex's book Linguistik umum, and Jant Holmes' theory. In this study, several language styles were found in the film, including consultative style 4 (13.4%), casual style (26.6%), and intimate style 18 (60%). In the film 10 Thing I Hate about You, a lot of informal language is used because it tells about teenage romance.
