DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING MATERIALS TO IMPROVE READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS FOR 5TH GRADE STUDENTS: CANVA APP SUPPORTED
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the developed Canva application-based rnteaching materials on improving the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students. The rnapproach used in this study was Design and Development (Ellis & Levy, 2010). Data collection rntechniques were carried out by interviewing teachers, questionnaires, pretest and posttest. This rnstudy used a sample of 171 grade 5 students in 3 elementary schools. The results of this study rnindicate that the use of Canva application-based teaching materials has a significant effect on rnimproving the reading comprehension ability of fifth grade students' information texts. This is rnevidenced by the difference in students' reading comprehension abilities of information texts rnbefore and after learning using application-based teaching materials. canvas. The implication rnof this research is to help make it easier for teachers to achieve learning objectives with the rnsupport of teaching materials, learning media, student worksheets, and fun and practical rnactivities that enable students to improve reading comprehension skills, especially information rntexts
