Background:We found several problems that showed students wrote essays in an irregular manner. rnThey experienced difficulties to distinguish between the topic sentence and the main idea. Their rnwriting skill may fall into poor criteria. In addition to preliminary study, we conducted a writing rncompetition in the schools. In terms of their participation, there was only 36% of the 150 students in rnthe four schools participated. This shows their low participation and motivation to demonstrate their rnwriting skill
